The Hirbawi® Kufiya
The kufiya (often called keffiyeh) is more than a garment — it is an icon of Palestine. Worn for generations, it has come to symbolise resistance, freedom, and the unbroken spirit of a people.
At Hirbawi®, the last remaining authentic kufiya factory in Palestine, each piece is woven using traditional techniques passed down over decades. Two layers form every kufiya: the base and the “flower” (وردة) — the distinctive patterns that make each design unique.
Today, the kufiya continues to evolve with Palestine itself. From the classic black and white pattern to designs inspired by cities, landmarks, and cultural motifs, the Hirbawi Kufiya carries heritage forward — thread by thread — into the present and beyond.
